| Mike is President of NAKODO, a firm that specializes in the Japanese market and the development of products for export to Japan. He is very comfortable in other cultures having traveled extensively in Asia. He speaks Japanese and has made over 45 trips to the region over the last 16 years and maintains representative offices in Alberta, Ontario, Manitoba and Tokyo.

Mike also serves as a board member and chair of 2 other private firms; a Provincial consulting firm Ceres Forte Inc. and a National consulting firm Call Canada 99 Inc..
Mike was selected as one of 28 Canadians to join the Canadian Agricultural Leaders for a Lifetime (CALL 99) program.
He is currently serving as General Manager - for the Alberta Barley Commission a not-for-profit organization dedicated to increasing the success of Alberta barley sector.
